Burp Cloths & Bips

I was on a major sewing kick the other night.  About a year and half ago, I bought a sewing machine for no reason.  I had no idea what I was doing.  I read the manual and began sewing.  Slowly, I have figured out more and more...also with a little help from Jordan.  Since we have a baby name, I decided it was time for Harper to have a few personalized items.

Babymoon Chicago-Day 3

Sunday.
Our last full day of the babymoon.
{We decided to come home early b/c we were exhausted and wanted relax at home before going back to work. Any way...}
We decided to hit up the shops below our hotel.  We had a few minutes before they opened, so we sat with the locals...from Leggo Land.
Today, we are going to hit up Millennium and Grant Park and then have a fun date night out.
Fountain
All the kids around loved this fountain...especially when the "mouth" spit out water.

After walking for three days, this baby momma was tired!  We decided to rent bikes. I haven't been on a moving bike in probably 20 years.  Plus, my center of gravity is a little off. We were both nervous.  After about 30 seconds, it's like they say, "It's just like riding a bike".  I was good to go...and a bit sad I hadn't busted out a bike earlier in the trip.
Aren't we so cute? I love cheesy photos!

This is the fountain from "Married with Children". Josh kept singing the theme song.
Love and Marriage...

I love the backdrop the city provided.
After touring the parks, we went to the top of the Hancock building for Cocktails and Mocktails.

Cheers!

Oh, and guacamole!
We then went to dinner at Smith and Wolensky's before hitting up Howl at the Moon.
Overall, we had a wonderful time in Chicago!
I am glad we were able to get some time in just us before this little one arrives!

Babymoon Chicago-Day 2

Saturday, Josh and I had reservations on Chicago's First Lady for a boat tour.
Josh was so excited to take a tour through the city to see/learn about all the buildings.
**Warning** he was in charge of the camera.

Wow, I look beautiful, NOT!
Trump Tower ^ Probably one of his favorite buildings.

Oh, there I am again...looking beautiful!

After our tour, we had some lunch and walked around a bit.  We stopped by "Realtor Plaza" b/c I thought it would be a funny pic for my boss.
After a power nap, Josh and I headed down to Navy Pier for the afternoon.  It was so cold down there, I ended up in Josh's shirt and my sweater...such a stunning combination.
We took the Ferris Wheel to the top...it started to remind me of the glass box in the Willis Tower. SKETCHY!

After another long day of sight-seeing and touring around town, we headed in for the night.  We had a few people recommend Lou Malnotti's pizza.  We ordered in and made a cozy relaxing date night out of it.  One thing we didn't do...get drinks.  So, in the pic below, you can see the "pizza oven" Josh made in our hotel room to keep the pizza warm while we got our drinks.
Such an Engineer!
Happy with his drink and the yummy pizza!
