32 Week Update

We have officially hit the 32 week mark.  We have 6 or less weeks to go (doctor won't let me go past 38 weeks).  CRAZY!

Here is my comparison from Harper to the Gatlin & Houston

Baby's size?
About 16.5 Inches and 4 lbs (according to BabyCenter.com)
The boys both measured 4 lbs 1 oz. at my ultrasound this morning.  My doctor couldn't believe that they were above average for most single babies...much less twins. The bigger the better (even though its uncomfortable)

Weight Gain?
The nurse doesn't tell me and I don't look or ask at the doctor. Ignorance is bliss! Plus, I figure if my weight is an issue...they will tell me! :)
I actually lost a pound this week.  That was unexpected.  I didn't see the total, she just said I lost a pound. I am not complaining. :)

Maternity clothes?
Anything that fits!
I am starting to worry I am out growing my current maternity clothes! EEK!  I dont want to buy clothes for a few more weeks. I will just squeeze this bump into anything I can!

Sleep?
Getting harder to breathe when I lay down. Using the largest body pillow known to man! Also, getting up more frequently to go to the bathroom. I am a much lighter sleeper these days.
Last night was a challenge to fall asleep. I am having trouble breathing at night.  It is very hard to get uncomfortable. In addition tot he body pillow, I am also using 2-3 behind my head and one on my side.  Once I actually fell asleep, I slept all night, which was nice!

Foods I am loving?
Chocolate!!
Mexican, Candy, Ice Cream, and Pasta...you know, the healthy stuff! :)

Song of the Moment:
Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO and Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga
Happy by Pharell Williams. It makes me Happy! :)  Oh and anything Harper sings to me.

Symptoms?
Breathing is a little hard, my back is sore in some spots, and my joints are a little stiff. It's not bad and most days I barely notice. I hope it stays this way for a while!
Breathing is the hardest thing right now.  Sitting for long periods of time causing back/joint pain.  I am staring to sell in my hands, feet, and face.  My right hand goes numb for no reason...that's fun.  I am still getting nauseous and throw up about once a week.  I would say I am having a slightly harder time this time around.  Most days after work, I am really worn out.  It's worth it...just not easy.

Best moment this month?
Had a Realtor focus group at work and one lady asked me when I was due, I said 9 weeks and she said, "but you're so small".  that was a nice change from "are you sure it's not twins?".  Also, the nursery is pretty much finished...that is a nice feeling! Also, my sales team surprised me with gifts this morning...including our pack'n'play!
We finished the nursery (minus hanging two book shelves and toiletries for the boys), I have all their laundry done and put away, and we have an official c-section date.  The boys will be here 4.11.14 or sooner.

What I'm looking forward to?
My baby shower in West, TN this weekend and Josh's work shower the next weekend.  I am slowly getting more and more things checked off my list at work. I will start training a few people to do my job while I am out.  Looking forward to that and not worrying about it anymore!
Finalizing a nanny for the boys.  We are going to present a formal offer next week and fingers crossed it all works out.  I am also looking forward to delegating more responsibilities at work.  My job is a little high stress right now, so taking a few things off my plate will help.

It's getting real!!

Maternity Pictures for Gatlin and Houston

It was so nice this weekend, so I decided to have a mini-maternity photo shoot with Harper.  Josh was good sport and took time away from washing the cars to snap a few pictures of the bump and Harper.

My sweet big girl! She loves her brothers so much and tells them "come out brothers" all the time.
Since it was so nice out, we had about 3 minutes of a participating toddler...then it was off to the playset!

Harper was serving the brothers and me food after we took our "maternity pics".

She is going to be an amazing big sister and I can't wait for her to meet her brothers.

The Nursery

This weekend, Harper spent the night at Nana & the Govs, so we got busy on the house/nursery.  I guess you could say I am nesting just a bit. :) Our second crib arrived this week, so it was the perfect time to put on the finishing touches.
My handy hubby!

These "H" and "G" quilts were made for the boys by Josh's grandmother.  They are so special to us.  She made Harper a quilt as well.  I just love the funky element she added with the modern patterns on a traditional quilt.  It really ties in the whole room!

We are so excited for two little babies to join this family!

Sloan's First Birthday

A few weekends ago, we went to Charleston to celebrate "baby Sloan's" first birthday.  Harper was so excited about riding on the plane.

She was an excellent passenger. I may be biased, but when the flight attendants tell you, it makes you feel pretty good!
So we may have had a slight accident on the plane.  That leads to no pants for the "suitcase ride" to the car. Classy!

Since our flight was during nap time and Harper did not nap...she passed out the second we got in our car.
After we arrived, we changed Harper's clothes and she was reunited with her cousin.  They are so cute together.  I mean, hey, these two have to stick together with all their boy cousins and brothers!

Kissing Cousins

Dinner buddies!
The next day, we took the girls to the Charleston Aquarium. They had a blast.  Aubrie's in-laws have a season pass and are so sweet b/c they have claimed Harper and Sloan as their grandchildren.  Harper gets in free that way.  Thanks Nana Jana and Captain Dave!

Harper and Paw paw decided to check their wing span.
Pretty impressive Paw paw!

I somehow managed to crawl in here and take a look with Harper.

and passed out!  Thank you Charleston Aquarium.
After nap, we got up and got ready to PAAAARRRTTTYYYY!

Harper couldn't wait to play with baby Sloan's toys! :)
She even got to open a present for her brothers too!

Happy Birthday Sloan!

Somebody give this baby some cake!

Both these girls did great eating their cake! ;) Afterwards, they needed to play off the sugar!

Happy 1st Birthday "Baby Sloan"
The next morning, the girls played with Paw paw before we hit the park.  The boys went to see the Booths new boat.

I love these girls and their smiles!
Bye bye Sloan! Thank you for having us. We love you and wish you a very happy birthday!
