She has already been offered a chance to play with the Gatlin Brothers. She is big time! ;)

2 Little Chairs

Harper has started to use her little chairs more and more.
The other night, I just watched as she decided some of her toys needed to rock with her in her rocking chair.
Here she is leaning on a handful of balls from the ball pit
ya know, i think some milk would be nice.
and maybe a friend...my abc cow
ah, just the right mix
getting cozy
perfection!

That same night, we walked in the living room and found someone else enjoying her chair.
I thought it was kind of funny b/c Mally normally likes to be up high.
Seems she found the perfect "mally sized" chair.
Harper didn't mind.  She gave her a hug anyway!

Thanksgiving 2012

This year, we celebrated Thanksgiving with both families.
After work on Wednesday, we packed up the car headed west to Big Sandy, TN.
We spent the night at Josh's grandmother's house and celebrated with his family on Thursday.

Rigged up the iPad for the car ride down...we were hoping she would go "night night" for most of the car ride...not so much.  She finally went down shortly after arriving at Grandmother's house...at 10:30 pm.
Thursday, this little turkey was ready for celebration.
We did some exploring outside
Nana and the Gov took her to see Gale (neighbor down the street)
Weston and Harper
After lunch, it was nap time...
even for Daddy.
We played our annual game of croquet.
(Lily & the Gov)
Harper played her own version of croquet.
They kept making fun of my jacket i borrowed...I was just proving how cool it really was! :)
That night, we headed home...again, during bed time.
This time, she fell asleep at normal time and transitioned from the car to the bed very well.
We were then greeted with Aubrie and Brandon who were staying at our house.
Harper was really excited to see her Aunt RB and Uncle Bran.
We played, cuddled, and watched Fresh Beat Band before heading over to Bossy and Pawpaw's house for Friday Thanksgiving.
We celebrated with the Gatlin/Booth clan on Friday.
Uncle Brandon is a great turkey slicer.
Harper decided to sample a few things before we sat down for dinner.
Including a sample of pie ...look at her up on her toes.
BUSTED!
Didn't stop her from going back for more.
Little stinker!
Uncle Josh
Nap time!
Pointing to her cousin, Sloan.
Happy Bossy!
Lip gloss and a softball...that's my girl!
Kisses for Daddy
Memaw and Boppy came in town to celebrate with us.

We had a wonderful time with extended family on both sides.
We hope you and  your loved ones had a safe and fun Thanksgiving!

Harper this past month (13-14)

oh where to begin.  this month has been a lot of fun...just hanging out as a family!  we celebrated halloween and have really enjoyed the fall weather.
Over the last month, Harper:
-started cutting her molars (fun times had by all)
-really started making connections with her animal sounds and names
-has gown more and more attached to her "BEAR" and most stuffed animals
-started fast walking/almost running
-loves asking for "nacks" (snacks) and pointing to the pantry
-says please and thank you approrpiately.  not all the time...but getting there.
-LOVES the fresh beat band. she is always asking to watch "La La" (they sing la la la a lot).  she doesn't watch TV much, but when she does...she is constantly asking for it.  she dances to all the fresh beat band songs and even says "Kiki" before they say it in the intro song.
-she is actually keeping her bow in her hair more than she is taking it out...big milestone!  we still get "what a handsome fella"...even when she is wearing pink mary janes! i think people just see her short hair and assume.  she will have hair one day!

She loves exploring and testing her boundaries...especially with us.  She does have a few tantrums every now and then when she doens't get her way.  Here are some pictures of the last month.

Look at this sweet face!
decided to have baby join her for a "nack"
Started using utensils properly.  She has been using a spoon off and on, and we decided to try a fork.
she does okay with it.
maybe she needs a smaller fork?!?
playing peek-a-boo withher milk cup.
she is a nut!
Having lunch in my office...did pretty good for no high chair or bib.
but she did not let go of that ball the whole meal.
Having lunch with her friend Emily
Josh and I had dinner one night while Harper watched a movie and snuggled with her Lamb.
She rarely sits still...she was a little sick and was so content just snuggling.
showing off her new Christmas bear
Being super silly with dad.
(some people have asked why we would have two of these--the big one was Dagan's basket that he left wiht us. The smaller one had Halloween goodies in them--both from Bossy)
Trick or Treat with the neighbors
going down the slide by herself
playing at the park with friends
I love her face here
Such a ladies man!
"Hugging" mally
Cutest little Vols fan!
I couldn't resist taking a "booty in the air" picture
Harper and Mommy saying hi to daddy via the phone
Two protective shadows following this explorer!
Being silly at Bossys...little Orphan Harper
Loving the outdoors!
Mowing with Daddy
