Well, 40 is officially here.  Josh really wants to do an adult pool party this summer...so for now, it's a few dinners out and time with kids.

Visiting with Santa

This year, we did something a little different to see Santa. We normally go see him at the mall. Today, we got to visit Santa at Sugar Drop.  We ran into friends, made reindeer food, and got to chat with Santa for a few minutes.
Gat also loves his Santa hat so much...he was constantly falling asleep with his hat on.

Indoor Skydiving in Dalla

While we were in Texas over Thanksgiving, we ventured over to iFly Dallas for some indoor skydiving.  This is something I remember doing as a kid.  Josh went a few years ago for a team building activity. We couldn't wait to take the kids.  Everyone was a little nervous, but they had a blast.  The boys were so light weight, the instructor was able to manipulate them and mess around a little.  It was extra fun b/c we had the Booths with us too! We can't wait to go back!

Girls Trip to New York for Harper's 10th Birthday

Since Harper is turning 10, I really want to take her somewhere special.  I had mentioned NYC to Josh and he was on board with me taking her.  The next week, Chelsie mentioned the same for Avery. So this marked the beginning of our planning.  We surprised the girls just after Avery's birthday in July.

After waiting several months, we were finally heading to NYC!  WE HAD THE BEST TIME! It was the first time for Chelsie, Avery, & Harper...so I got to play tour guide.
Thursday night we went to the empire state building and had dessert at Magnolia Bakery and walked through Rockefeller center.

Friday, we headed south and hit up the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Alexander Hamilton's grave, 9/11 Memorial, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Museum of Ice Cream & Little Italy for dinner. Harper loved the Ellis Island tour and seeing Hamilton's grave.
Saturday, we took a quick trip to the Museum of Natural History.  They loved seeing some favorites from "Night at the Museum".  We snuck into Central Park before grabbing a quick bite to eat before our Broadway Show.  We took the girls to see Aladdin where Harper matched the theatre!  The man who played the Genie was INCREDIBLE!  They acknowledged that they were just back after being shut down for 18 months b/c of Covid.  The crowd broke out in applause. After the show, we took the girls on a little stroll down 5th avenue and to the plaza hotel. We even saw a couple taking their wedding photos.  From there, we went to Serendipity III for dinner.  Small world, Chelsie & Avery's neighbors ended up being seated right next to us.

We had such a great view of times square from our room.  It was a whirlwind trip, but the girls had a blast.  We all did. I cannot wait to go back!
