Gatlin Says

As we are putting the boys to bed on 100+ day of Covid-19 - aka lots of lounging around the house - Gatlin says:
I want to be a grownup. They get whatever they want! They get to stay up late, they get money, they get a new kitchen .😂

Last Day of School - Second Grade & Kindergarten (including 2 months of homeschool)

2020 has been a pretty crazy year.  This is something we have never experienced and it certainly didn't go how we expected. On March 5, 2020, my kids left their school for the last time this year school year.  We were closed for cleaning due to the Covid-19/Corona virus.  We thought they would be out for a few days.  Two months later, these 3 finished school at home...in our basement.  We set up a classroom and they worked hard every morning to get their school work done.  To say this was unusual is an understatement.  I am so proud of our kids for getting through two months of at home learning.  Though we are sad to have missed out on a few things, like the Second grade program and the Kindergarten graduation, we experienced something as a family may never get to do again...this time together.
Here are my Kindergartners and second grader on their last day of school (with primed rails).

Gatlin lost his first tooth

Not to be totally left behind, Gatlin pulled out his first tooth tonight...exactly one week after Houston. He just noticed it was lose a few days ago and was working on it after we put him to bed. About 10 minutes later, Houston came running out to tell us Gatlin had pulled it. He was so excited it happened before Kindergarten was over (one day to spare). I have always loved how tiny their little teeth are - glad I got one last pic of his mouth before he pulled it. Now, to wait for the tooth fairy!

Gearing Up for the End of School

What a crazy school year it has been.  None of us ever could have imagined that this school year would get cut short at school (3/5) and we would end up homeschooling for 2 months. I honestly can't believe we made it this long! Ha!
Here are few snapshots of the last zooms chats, journals, and school work.  We also got to see several EES teachers during a parade.  This was the schools way of saying "goodbye" for the year.  It was really special for all of us! One of our last big projects was learning about the Blue Angels. They flew over Bossy & Pawpaws house to thank our frontline heroes.  That was a fun "field trip". :)

US Lately

We have had such an interesting and unique last few months.  We were finally able to venture out on the boat, hit up a birthday parade, and enjoy more stuff at home.
