Family Photos - 2016

Several weeks back, we took family photos with Readylight Media as a going away present for Eli and a chance to capture our family in this stage of life.  The boys weren't really cooperating, so sippy cups and suckers to save the day! Hey, this is real life.  Harper, of course, was the perfect little diva for the camera.  The camera loves her and she loves it! :)

First few weeks of summer school

The boys started at the beginning of "summer" school this year. It is a lighter curriculum and has some fun dress up themes all summer long. This was the perfect time to help ease them into this transition.
Crazy Hair Day (Houston did not want to take a picture)

Gatlin in class (I love being able to watch through the door)

I got a call b/c Houston might need sticthes and they needed me to check it out.
While I got/waited on several opinions, we decided to see a Dr. to glue him up!
Gatlin cuddling on me while i make decisions for Houston's eye.
This cute picture was sent by his teachers.
Houston and his cups!

Hat Day! (houston was home sick)
In the first few weeks, I was often carrying Houston (that is why he is not always pictured)
The boys playing on Sports Team day. Go Colombia!
Harper after her swim lesson - ready for sports day!
Overall, we are so pleased with the transition. From getting everyone out of the house together, getting to school (work) on time and having a blast!

Father's Day

This year for Father's Day weekend, we hosted his company at our house for an outdoor/pool party. First, he kicked it off by having "donuts with dad" at school. Since he took Harper to swim lessons, he missed it in the boys room.  They did make him super cute hand canvases.
We then gave him his presents early so he could enjoy them for his party if he wanted.
we have a new bar edition and some out door accessories for the pool!
Sunday morning the boys were with Bossy and Paw Paw, so Harper and I did our celebratory tradition with cinnamon rolls for Daddy.
she looks so big waiting on him.
We did go to dinner and totally forgot to take a picture!
Cheers to you Josh!
You are a wonderful and loving father and I couldn't imagine caring for this circus without you!

Our Last Day with Eli

What a bitter sweet day!  It was bitter b/c we were saying goodbye to Eli, a huge part of our family for the last 2 years.  It was sweet, b/c we had such a wonderful time these two years.  It doesn't seem that long ago that we welcomed a total stranger into our home.  The boys were 10 weeks old and Harper was just 2 1/2.  Now, she is almost 5 and these boys are two.  I remember talking with Eli trying to picture what they would all look/be like when she had to go home.  We have been so blessed the boys could stay home for the last two years with her!  What a life changing experience for all of us. We will miss you so much Eli! We cannot wait to see you again.
