Williamson County Fair

Last Saturday, we ventured out to the Williamson County Fair to see what it's all about!
We first arrived and got to watch a kids musical/show for kids.  Harper was a little afraid to let go of me, until the singing started...then she was off and ready to boogie!

Notice Harper slowly makes her way closer to the stage! I love watching her dance and sing!
After the show, we made our way outside to watch dogs dock jump.  It was pretty neat to watch.

I decided to snap this photo of my very manly man!  It takes a real man to carry a balloon, girls backpack, and umbrella (it was raining when we go there--we didn't need a parasol).
Today was a day of firsts for Harper.  The boat was her first "roller coaster" ride.  She had a blast.  First, she loves boats. Second, she loved "go fast" in the boat.

She even made a friend! :)

Another first, a Horse (Pony) ride. She wouldn't stop asking about them ("see horsey"), but was very clingy at first.  After a lap or two, she let go of me and held on to the saddle saying "eeehaw" (yeehaw).

Nemo was her second ride of the day (we hit up the only two rides she was tall enough for). She loved riding Nemo...but it was a bit hot out.

After Nemo, we headed on over to the little kids Farmer's market.  I wasn't sure what to expect...I think it was my favorite part.

All the kids got aprons, baskets, and a bag of corn.  They started at the chickens...she fed them a little corn and took an egg in return.
Next, she picked an apple from the apple tree.
From there, she got to fish in the pond.
She rode a tractor

Farmed the land,
Picked one pepper, one potato, and one tomato.  I couldn't believe how well she did.

We then headed over to the cow and did some milking.
After we collected our milk, we went to the farmer's market to sell our goods.
One-by-one, Harper put each item back in the baskets and turned in her apron and basket.
After that, she earned a (fake) dollar and was able to use that to buy something in the corner store.  She walked into the corner store and slapped her dollar on the counter and got some animal crackers.
After her snack, we took a quick photo and headed into the petting zoo.

After the animals, we washed our hands and had some lunch.

We had a blast at the Fair.  This was our first time and it is now a family tradition. She loved it and so did we!
