Last Day of School - 2024

Gatlin and Houston had a big year!  They gained a little bit of freedom by escaping to the back of the neighborhood to hang with their buddies. They tried (and loved) lacrosse! This year we’ve had a lot of first and a lot of growth. They were on a three teacher team and rotated classrooms for the first time.  They continue to be similar in height and weight and shoe size… and I swear they come home with the same grades - it’s kind of crazy how similar they be… But their personalities are totally different.

This year, Houston became a class clown. On his poster from class, everyone wrote how funny he is. Gat tends to be one of the guys just hanging with his bros and trying new sports on the playground.

They both gave me a lot of grace as Harper and I and navigated the New World of middle school. ☺️

Well, we did it! We survived 6th grade. And I do mean “we”! You can see it in her face - she is walking out a lot more confident than when she walked in.  She started in one school building and ended in another (new one). She got braces, glasses, a dyslexia diagnosis, did JV dance team, played JV softball, ended up in a boot (2x), and took exams for the first time.  It was a BIG year. Hoping for a relaxing summer before 7th grade. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›
