Last Day of School - 2024

Gatlin and Houston had a big year!  They gained a little bit of freedom by escaping to the back of the neighborhood to hang with their buddies. They tried (and loved) lacrosse! This year we’ve had a lot of first and a lot of growth. They were on a three teacher team and rotated classrooms for the first time.  They continue to be similar in height and weight and shoe size… and I swear they come home with the same grades - it’s kind of crazy how similar they be… But their personalities are totally different.

This year, Houston became a class clown. On his poster from class, everyone wrote how funny he is. Gat tends to be one of the guys just hanging with his bros and trying new sports on the playground.

They both gave me a lot of grace as Harper and I and navigated the New World of middle school. ☺️

Well, we did it! We survived 6th grade. And I do mean “we”! You can see it in her face - she is walking out a lot more confident than when she walked in.  She started in one school building and ended in another (new one). She got braces, glasses, a dyslexia diagnosis, did JV dance team, played JV softball, ended up in a boot (2x), and took exams for the first time.  It was a BIG year. Hoping for a relaxing summer before 7th grade. 💚💛

2021 Halloween

Halloween is OUR FAVORITE! This year's family theme was "Mashmello Presents...". We waited a little late (for us) and all our kids agreed to be someone musical.  We have Post Malone, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Marshmello, and Justin Bieber.  Houston even won best costume at the McIver Halloween party.  This time of year always seems to fly by.  I am so glad we can still enjoy the season as a family. Happy Halloween All!

2021 Fall Ball

Another season of ball is complete!  The Lady Sharks had an awesome season. Harper spent most of the season at 2nd base and hit a homerun!
The scrappers had a great season. They won a few games. Gatlin spent a lot of time at second and Houston in the outfield. They both hustled and showed an insane amount of improvement.

Last Day of School 2020-2021

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? I say it every year. I cannot believe we have completed another school year.  It was certainly a different year than any other.  After not finishing the last two months the year prior, we were all ready to get back to school.  We experienced Covid in our household, we had a few quarantine days, we had some virtual school days, the kids wore masks, the played with only their classmates at recess, and ate in their classroom. I love comparing the photos from the first day of school to the last day...looks they have all grown a few inches!
We are excited for a mask break and some fun in the sun! Bring it on Summer.
