Last Day of School 2020-2021

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? I say it every year. I cannot believe we have completed another school year.  It was certainly a different year than any other.  After not finishing the last two months the year prior, we were all ready to get back to school.  We experienced Covid in our household, we had a few quarantine days, we had some virtual school days, the kids wore masks, the played with only their classmates at recess, and ate in their classroom. I love comparing the photos from the first day of school to the last day...looks they have all grown a few inches!
We are excited for a mask break and some fun in the sun! Bring it on Summer.

Last Day of School - Second Grade & Kindergarten (including 2 months of homeschool)

2020 has been a pretty crazy year.  This is something we have never experienced and it certainly didn't go how we expected. On March 5, 2020, my kids left their school for the last time this year school year.  We were closed for cleaning due to the Covid-19/Corona virus.  We thought they would be out for a few days.  Two months later, these 3 finished school at home...in our basement.  We set up a classroom and they worked hard every morning to get their school work done.  To say this was unusual is an understatement.  I am so proud of our kids for getting through two months of at home learning.  Though we are sad to have missed out on a few things, like the Second grade program and the Kindergarten graduation, we experienced something as a family may never get to do again...this time together.
Here are my Kindergartners and second grader on their last day of school (with primed rails).

Last Day of School

Boys last day of presch
I say this every year, but how have my babies finished another year of school?  This year is super bittersweet, as it's it the boys last year at Primrose.  It's an end of an era really! I am so excited that they will be joining Harper next year at EES...but also, this momma heart can't handle the milestones.
Look at how much they have grown this last year! I love comparing their first day of school pics to their last. We are looking forward to summer and preparing for Kindergarten.

amazed at the growth

First grade is over?!?!? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?
This year has been another amazing year for Harper at EES.  I even got to be room mom. She loves her teacher, Ms. Parks and is so sad to be leaving her classroom. She even cried when she got off the bus. She formed great new friendships this year and really handled the transition from K to 1 so well. We are leaving first grade with a few less teeth and ready for summer!

Harper's Last Day of Kindergarten & Program

YALL!
Where did the time go?  I swear we just walked her into the school on her first day and now she is speaking/singing at her end of the year program?! On her last full day of school, she got to shake the principal & assistant principal's hand, sign several songs (I'm ready to go, When I grow up, & others) and had a speaking part! "One we can make a difference is to share love and kindness in the world".
Harper-you have learned so much and grown into a smart, kind, beautiful little girl.  You had your two kindergarten teachers, your first play-date without parents, started gymnastics, played your first season of softball, and met all kinds of new friends. We love you so much and are so blessed to have a good school and teachers to help shape who you are!
