Goodrich Baby Shower

Josh, Harper, and I are some of the most blessed people in the world.
We have so many loved ones and supporters that have thrown us/attended baby showers!
We appreciate all them so much...and it has really helped us prepare for Harper's arrival.

2 weeks ago, my mom's best friend, Brent Goodrich, hosted us an amazing baby shower for us.
Of course, I only have a few lovely pictures of me opening gifts.
sweet baby outfit!
necessities!
the car exersaucer (sp?) mom and I saw a few days before. Mom reassured Josh that now he doesn't have to buy her her first car b/c she did. ha!

Abby-the best trash-picker-upper-gift-hander-outter ever!
Thank you all for making my shower very special!

The Nursery

The nursery is finally finished...well, as finished as it is going to be before baby Harper arrives.  The room is so pretty in the morning when the natural light comes in.  I decided to take a few pics then...without the overhead lights on.  Sorry if these pictures are a little dark.  The paint is "Fashionable Gray" by Sherwin Williams...but you will see several shades b/c I am, yet again, using my phone!  The "theme" is, er, gray, pink, and off white! Great theme, huh?!?!
We received this diaper wreath as a gift at a shower...until she needs size 2 diapers...this will hang on the door.
Once you walk through the doors, you immediately see the crib.
We also have the monitor on the wall and the quilt ready to be used.
That quilt was a gift, made by Josh's grandmother.
We just got the side table (from my MIL) over the weekend and it is the perfect addition!
I realized I might actually need to put stuff somewhere when feeding the bambino!
The Cozy Corner!
These types of gliders are the least attractive to me...but by far the most comfortable.
I love that we went with Gunmetal Gray.
The wire thing above the glider is a picture holder.
It is unique and fits that space perfectly!
Our room is like a rectangle with the door, window, and closet all in a weird spots.
We decided that for furniture, 3 pieces would work best: the Crib, Glider, and Dresser.
This is the view from the far wall, showcasing ole Frank and the new bookshelves!
To round out the rest of the nursery, we have the dresser!
I don't have a lot on the top shelf...but I know more will come once she does.
That gives you an idea of what little Harper will come home and see!  And probably the last time it will be this organized!

Want a sneak peak into the closet? And if any of you are worried about my child going naked...
NOT A CHANCE!
As soon as you tell someone you are having a girl, she has enough clothes to change 3 times a day!
The first half is 0-3 months!
Don't get me wrong...we truly appreciate how spoiled she is already...and what woman doesn't love clothes?!?!
I just can't believe it really is THIS much!
Thanks Nanny Katie for providing us with many opitons!

Here are all her fabulous bows!
She is one lucky girl that she has her Aunt Sissy to let her borrow Audrey's bows and for Nanny Katie's "bow-quet" full of bows!

Surprise Mini-Shower

I work for a wonderful company.  I also work with a wonderful group of people.
Over the last 6 1/2 years, I have made some great friends!
There is a small group (4 of us) of women I have dinner with...and they either work or once worked for my company.
We were getting together to celebrate one of them buying a new house...and they Surprised Me!
They are so sweet to throw me a mini-baby shower!
Of course, I only got a few pics and they are all from my phone.

Here I am (looking lovely, might I add) with Tammy and the goodies she got us!
I also go some great gifts from Susan and Marilyn.
Thank you ladies for such a wonderful shower!
You are true friends!

34 Weeks-Update on Us

Update on Us-34 Weeks
Only 6 Weeks/42 Days To Go!

Baby's size? About 18 Inches and 4 3/4 lbs (according to BabyCenter.com)

Weight Gain? The nurse doesn't tell me and I don't look or ask at the doctor. Ignorance is bliss! Plus, I figure if my weight is an issue...they will tell me! :)

Maternity clothes? Anything that fits!

Sleep? Not a chance! :)  Actually, I am getting sleep...it's a bit restless, but I am still getting at least 6 hours.  Every night varies!

Foods I am loving? Been craving Ice Cream!  The other day I went to Publix to only buy ice cream. I am a walking stereotype!  The only thing missing...pickles!
Song of the Moment: Lighters by Bruno Mars featuring Eminem

Symptoms? Breathing is a little hard, my back is sore in some spots, and my legs are acting up.  This is something I had no idea happened to preggars women.  But I will say, 80% of the day I am feeling pretty good.  I can't complain!

Best moment these last 2 weeks?  Training a girl at work to do part of my job...and her taking it on successfully!  Work is something that has been on my mind--leaving and making sure my position is covered--and it is good to know I have trustworthy people handling my stuff while I am away.  I just hope she doesn't do it better than me...I need my job when I come back. ;)  Also, Josh's work shower and family shower in West, TN were wonderful!  More on those to come!!

What I'm looking forward to? Finishing training people at work and Josh building me book shelves!
(one day I will start using my real camera)

Sales Team Shower

Last week, my awesome sales team surprised me with a mini-baby shower during our weekly meeting.  They all got there extra early, set up a few decorations, ordered breakfast, and went all out on the gifts.  Of course, the only pictures I have are jank little photos from my phone!  Please ignore the quality...and really the lack of posing in all of them.
We got great stuff for the house: Safety, Cleaning, & Clothes.
Yummy Chik-Fil-A Breakfast!
In addition to all the goodies mentioned above, they got us our Pack'N'Play.
And what did we Josh do as soon as he got in town that night?
Build our pack'n'play.
Obviously, we have not use for it right this second...but it never hurts to put it together before you have a need for it.
Thank you amazing sales team for your generosity!
You are all amazing friends!
