We had a nice, at-home Mother's Day this year. The kids made me breakfast and filled out little worksheets about me. Their answers are hilarious! We then had my parents over for lunch and a little lounging outside. The weather was great. I even gave pawpaw a hair cut. Josh got me a massage (to go with Tiffany) for when everything opens back up. Overall, I felt very loved and didn't cook or clean!

Summer Cousin Fun!
We loved having all our cousins in town for a week this summer. The kids did Encore camp at Lipscomb with Bossy, went to the Grand Ole Opry, and had a little photoshoot. We love when everyone can spend time together!

Bossy Retires!
It's the end of an Era!
The Boss Lady has retired. Today is her last day teaching.
She has had such an impact on students, parents, and staff at Lipscomb! I know she will be missed, but we are excited to have her as a full-time grandma!
Happy Retirement Mom!
We Love You!
To celebrate, once all the sisters were in town, we took mom to a nice steak dinner, crown and all. She didn't want much...so this was the perfect to send off into retirement, er, subbing!

Mother's Day
This Mother's Day, we had brunch at Cheesecake Factory.
Josh was also there...but didn't seem to make a single photo. Oops!
I love these little people of mine.

Happy New Year 2018
This year, we did things a little different...we went to Jimmy Buffet! The kids were with grandparents while we partied like we were on a tropical island!
We are wishing you and yours a very happy new year!

Family Pictures 2017
Over the weekend, both my sisters were in town with their kids. We decided to have a quick family photo shoot to get Bossy & Pawpaw with all their grand kids! We pulled it off and I love these pictures!

5K for Waves of Grace
This year, Bossy and I participated in the Waves of Grace 5K
(during the St. Jude Half/Full Marathon).
The weather was so hot, they moved the start time to 6:30 am!
We walked on behalf of Waves of Grace, my friends non-profit that sends cancer patients on an all expenses paid beach vacation. I raised just over $2000, thanks to many of you!
This was my first 5K and it couldn't have been better!

We were even able to finish up fast enough to go cheer on my friends running the half!

Grandparents reading week
Last week our kids were super lucky to have their grandparents come read at school! This was the first time for the boys. I know they were so excited to visitors just for them!. Harper was very proud as well.
Thanks for reading Nana & Gov and Bossy & Paw Paw (bossy not pictured)

Winter Fun at Lipscomb
This past weekend, Harper was with Nana & the Gov and Josh was out of town. So, I took the boys for some indoor fun at Bossy's school. They rode their plasma cars (didn't get a pic) then sat on down for a snack at the big kids table! They are slowly getting ready for school. After snack, they ride the wagon. They had a big time. I also realized it's time for helmets for these two! Manly/Spike helmets coming right up!

Merry Meadows Christmas
What a fun month!
As always, the holidays fly by.
One minute it's Halloween, the next minutes it's January.
This Christmas was no exception!
As our children get older, we are trying to teach them the real reason we celebrate...Harper half listens and then just wants to open presents.
One day it will sink in! :)
Here are some pictures that sum up our Christmas this year.

Harper tested out a few cookies before leaving a plate for Santa
HE CAME!
SANTA CAME!
SANTA CAME!
(I used a cool new app to "paint" my photos)
Harper was the first one to see if Santa came!
Safe to say we had some pretty happy kids on Christmas morning!
For lunch, the Gatlin crew came over for some dirty Santa!
One of my favorite traditions.
One of my favorite traditions.
During naps, Harper had a little rest time on the porch with Max, the gift she won in dirty Santa.
They even took a little rest on the new Christmas swing from Nana & the Gov.
That night, we went to Church for the Christmas Eve celebration
{Santa visited us a day early b/c we traveled on 12/25}

One of my favorite parts of Christmas
The next morning, we dressed the same and loaded up the car to head to Grandmother's house.
Harper, Grandmother, and Nana with Harper's new Christmas fans.
Trucks, Trucks, and more Trucks!
These boys sure got a lot of "boy toys"
Building with Lily - they are so proud
We even go to visit Aunt Virginia in the hospital.
Dancing with Weston
The best Christmas present would be the "balloon hands" from hospital.
Playing in the sand with Grandmother and Weston
When we got home, we opened our presents from Hoppy & Seesaw!
Our last stop on the Christmas train was a visit to Bossy & Pawpaws.
The boys were so excited to discover their gifts in the Tree-pee
(Bossy's version of a Christmas tree this year).
