Mother’s Day 2020 - Covid 19 Style

We had a nice, at-home Mother's Day this year.  The kids made me breakfast and filled out little worksheets about me. Their answers are hilarious! We then had my parents over for lunch and a little lounging outside.  The weather was great.  I even gave pawpaw a hair cut.  Josh got me a massage (to go with Tiffany) for when everything opens back up.  Overall, I felt very loved and didn't cook or clean! 

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day, we had brunch at Cheesecake Factory.

Josh was also there...but didn't seem to make a single photo. Oops!

I love these little people of mine. 

Muffins with Mom & Mother's Day

I love going to the school to celebrate muffins with mom with my kids.

This was the first year Gatlin & Houston were at school. 

Harper serve me juice and muffins (and maybe spilled a little OJ).

The boys loved showing me their art and acting like the wanted muffins...shocker, they didnt!

I was not feeling well that morning, so I threw and enjoyed the morning with my kids

A few days later on Mother's day, Harper brought me heart shaped eggs and we visited the Zoo with my mother (Bossy) while dad did back yard demo.

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

Muffins with Mom

I got join Harper for our 3rd annual Muffins with Mom at school.  I love getting to spend these little moments with her.  She poured my drink, gave me a muffin, and a plant!  We had a great morning. 

Harper Says: Mother's Day

How old is your mom? 9

I love my mom bc she: let's me stay up longer.

My favorite thing my mom does for me is: makes me food 

I love when she: let's me eat all the fruit snacks, brushes my hair, and does a group hug. 

My moms favorite treat is: m&m's

I want to be with my mom on vacation alone together!!

Mother's Day present

Josh surprised me with 4 tickets to the New Kids on the Block, TLC, & Nelly concert for Mother's Day.  I was so excited b/c it was in the box at Bridgestone.  Jordan came in town and we met up with Amy and Mary Elizabeth for dinner before the show. 

Harper loved getting "ready" with Jordan.

Mother's Day

How true is this card?!?!

My mother's day celebrations started with a
"Muffins with Mom" at Harper's school.

We had muffins and she gave me my present.
Her present was a decorated picture frame with her handprint over a poem:
Best Friend Forever, Mom and Me.
Picking flowers and climbing trees.

A should to cry on, secrets to share.

Warm hearts and hand that really care!

We celebrated the following Sunday with the Gatlin Family.

I love seeing those little heads at the head of the table.

The week before Mother's day, we celebrated with another wonderful Mother!.

We were able to do lunch with Nana and the Gov.

Mother's Day Celebration

I am so blessed to have 3 little humans that call me mom.  This year my reasons to celebrate multiplied.  Josh surprised a full nights sleep!  It was a nice attempt, but while he was feeding the twins, Harper woke up.  I still got up in the night...but I did get more sleep than usual.  My mother's day celebrations started on Friday morning with "muffins for mom" at Harper's school.  I wasn't sure if I was going to make to school that early. It was our first "muffins for mom" and I decided I should go.  I loaded up all 3 kids and we were at Harper's school by 8 am.

 

She was so excited I was there. When I was picking out my muffin, she got my present from her teacher.  She ran over and yelled "Happy Mother's Day Mom!". My eyes watered. 

We had our muffins and I stayed for few more minutes to watch her with her friends.  I couldn't stay long b/c the boys needed to eat, but it was totally worth the time I was there. 

Saturday, we hung out as a family and at some point I ended up with all 3 kids in my lap.  I love them so much. I am so blessed that these three are the reason I am a mother.

On Sunday, we went to lunch with my mother, grandmother, and aunt. 

After a great lunch, we headed back home for naps and snuggles.

We had such an amazing weekend! 

Saturday night, Josh asked Harper these questions.  Here are her answers:

My mom is 1 years old. (she said mom is 1 and I am 2)

She likes to feed my buddies.

The best thing she cooks is cereal.

Her favorite food is mashed potatoes.

Her favorite thing to do to relax is cough and go potty.

We like to play buttons together.

She is really good at kissing.
