Fall Break - 2019

We just got back from a wonderful fall break with the Hicklens.  We went to Orange Beach and stayed in a great condo on the beach.  The boys are getting so brave with the ocean...Gat makes me nervous how much he loves it!  The kids caught crabs, Josh built a race car in the sand, the girls did performances, and the boys spent hours in the sand.  We love our time away for fall break with our friends.  It was a much needed vacation for all. 

Fall Softball

Another great season in the books. This was Harper's last year in coach pitch and with the Golden Girls. We played our last game against Ellie (I work with her mom, Marthie) and we took home the W.  We had an undefeated season...what a way to end it!  We love watching her play and cannot wait to see what Kid-pitch has in store for us next season. 

A Few Fall Updates

We have had a lot of fun this fall. I was so excited to be able to take the boys on their first Kindergarten field trip to Gentry's farm.  I was the official chaperone for Gatlin's class, but Houston's teacher let him join our group.  These boys and their friends were so excited.  We even watched the teachers toss pumpkins to the cows on the farm.  I was excited to pick up a few extra pumpkins to decorate with the kids and the porch.  

We have also spent time with the Brooks and Chief, spraying our hair pink for pink day, fall festival with dad, nap time with mom, and school pictures - the first for the boys at Edmondson. We are having a fun fall and can't wait for more.

Gatlin and Houston Take Karate

We decided to explore a new activity for the boys...KARATE!
A big part of Karate is how you behave at home, school, and in class.  They are working hard to earn their strips and belt colors.  Master Lee is so patient and slowly learning who is who of the boys...trick he uses, names on the belts! :)  This has also been good for sister...she's the spectator this time!

Fall Festival at EES

We love the fall festival at Edmondson!  The boys were so excited b/c it's finally their school too.  We love the trolly ride to the school, the e-buck machine, the games, and the laser tag!  Gnash, face paint, and the cake-walk are pretty fun too!

8 is Great! Happy Birthday Harper!

8 is great...unless your in a boot!  Just kidding. She's handling that in stride and not letting it slow her down. Happy Birthday Harper!  You are quite the 8 year old princess! We love celebrating you and cannot wait to see what this year has in store! Right now, you are into descendants (peep the crown), fun clothes, mermaid tails, and making bracelets.  You have requested rock climbing for your birthday party. We will somehow make it work with that boot. You also wanted to make it red, white, and blue...so the bakery found away to match your shirt! 

  We love you so much and can't wait to continue celebrating your greatness!
