Harper is 18 Months!

A year and a half.
I cannot believe my baby is a year and a half! What an amazing year and half it has been!  I will have more updates after her 18 month appointment, but for now, here are some of my updates on Harper.

A typical day with Harper (on a weekend with me or during the week with Katie):
We wake up around 7 am, drink some milk, and watch Sofia the first.
Around 8 we eat breakfast -Cheerios, Raisins, and Blueberries or Daddy's pancakes
After breakfast we get dressed and play. We love getting out of the house. If the weather is nice, we will go to the park, play in the yard, or walk the neighborhood.  If it's gross outside, we will go grocery shopping or run errands.  We usually eat lunch around 11:30 or 12.  After lunch, we will play a little more or head straight to nap.  She will nap from 2-3.5 hours...depending on the day.  After nap, we drink more milk and play some more.  We usually have dinner around 6 or 6:30.  After dinner we will take a bath and play in the basement or upstairs.  We start to unwind around 8 and watch the Fresh Beat Band.  This is our "night time" routine. At 8:30, we say our prayers, rock for a few minutes, then go to bed.  She usually falls asleep by 9:15.

Size Shoe: 4.5-5 depending on the shoe
Clothes: 18-24M
Foods: Has recently become a very pick eater. She likes a food one day and not the next.  This is something that can be a little frustrating...but we are figuring it out together.
Earlier this wee, she had 4 new teeth break through.  This is the last round of teeth before her 2 year molars.
Harper is also extremely talkative...shocker, I know!?!?  It is like Pete and Repeat around our house.  She tries to pronounce anything we ask.  She loves how excited we get when she says new words.
Her other favorite thing to do is sing.  We listen to the Fresh Beat Band in the car and she even sings some of the words.  I am amazed at how much of it she has picked up.  She also likes to sing to Sophia the First (her two favorite shows).

Here are some pictures of the last month.
She fell asleep at "daycare" right after lunch. Sweet baby!
She crawled into her babydoll cradle and shushed them for bed time.
Shh Shh Shh
Having fun with forks and spoons
Built an awesome fort with Daddy
Loves brushing her teeth. Every time we walk by the bathroom she climbs that stool and reaches for her toothbrush.
Teeeeef!
My car was in the shop, so we borrowed Paw Paw's. She loved that his carseat was by the window.
Loving that the weather has been nice enough to go to the park.
We have 3 within a few miles from our house.
What a fun month it has been!
Happy Half Birthday Harper!

Mickey and our Weekend

Friday morning we had the opportunity to go see Mickey Mouse at a local play place.  I wasn't sure how she would be since she seems to get a little clingy with strangers.  Finally, Mickey danced his way into the venue ready to meet all the kids.  Most of them were so excited!  Then, there was Harper (and a few others).  She looked at me, said "hold you", and pretty much stayed in my arms the whole hour he was there.

I sent this video to Josh and he asked me if she was sick.  Nope, just didn't want to leave my side.  She kept saying "me mouse" and pointing...but never wanted to close.  For now, he is best inside the TV!
She did let go long enough to play in the ball pit.
and to play ring around the Rosie with Taylor Grace and Allie.
After Mickey, we had lunch with Taylor Grace, Allie, and their moms.  We had such a fun morning...and clearly a busy one!  Sweet girl passed out on the way home.

That afternoon, daddy left work on time and we were able to squeeze in a little park time before dinner.
My little sunshine!  It was so nice outside...yay for spring!
waving to the "choo choo"

"Hey Girl, I like your bow!"
The next day, we did some grocery shopping. I just had to take a picture of her eating this cookie.  Of course, the cookie makes for a peaceful grocery ride...until you have blue icing everywhere.
Cookie Monster

That afternoon (notice we had several costume changes in 2 days...that was from spills or weather changes), Harper decided to serenade us...in her water shoes! :)
When she hits it big, we will get her a stylist. Hope you all had a great weekend!

My little artist

The other night, it was still light out (yay!) so we decided to play outside.  We gave Harper some sidewalk chalk to see what/how she would do.  She LOVED it!  Even pitched a little fit when it was time to come inside.
I love the concentration on her face!

After coloring for a while, it was fun to dump and fill the bucket...Over and Over and Over.
My little artist (with daddy's drawing of me, apparently).
While Harper was coloring...Josh was doing this...
Not sure who loves the wagon more!

Big Weekend. Big Fun!

We had a wonderful weekend that started off with an Anniversary celebration.  Josh and I just celebrated 5 years of marriage.  Friday night, we dropped Harper off at Bossy's and headed out...with no plans in mind.  Except, Josh actually had plans...I just didn't know about them.  We got in the car, and he handed me a bouquet of roses.  Josh is not a flower guy.  I LOVED them.  He then asked where I wanted to go...I wasn't sure, so he said "good, I have reservations for us".  Pleasantly surprised again!  We headed towards downtown and drove by my old apartment (when we were dating).  We talked about how he picked up me up from here the night we got engaged.  He then started driving towards the Park Cafe.  This is the restaurant where he proposed.  We walked in, he gave our name, and they took us through the restaurant.  As we were meandering through other diners, my eyes started watering b/c I realized they were taking us to the table where he proposed.  I turned around to see the biggest smile on his face! :) I was so impressed.  Flowers. Plans. Table. Everything.  We jokingly recreated the night and had a wonderful time!

Cheers!
(as for gifts, he got a gun and i got a new embroidery machine-so romantic!)
Selfie outside of Dinner

The next day, we packed up the car and the little one and headed to Big Sandy for some R&R at Grandmothers house.
(we installed the new DVD player we got for Christmas-makes for nice travel).
Milk, Snack, Tinkerbell, and the Fresh Beat Band = one super good traveler!
We stopped to get gas and stretch our legs...and this is how I found Harper and Josh.
Yah, our new favorite Hat!
When it was nap time, Josh offered to put Harper down...I think he wanted to snooze himself.
How sweet do they look?!?!
After naps, we played with the ball and roamed all around Grandmother's house.
We saw some neighbors and enjoyed the weather.

Cowboy Hat, baby doll stroller, and a good story from Grandmother...what more could you want?
The next morning, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast!
(we forgot the high chair--she looks so big eating at the table)
And they're off!
Heading down to the creek

Look mom, Daddy took pics of me in the water...in my regular shoes!
Josh and Harper came back up to the house soaked.  So, we grabbed her rainboots and I joined them for some playtime in the creek

She had a blast!

After the creek, we came inside to warm our hands/feet and have a little playtime with Grandmother before heading home.

This little girl was worn out!  We all had such a fun weekend!
