A dear family friend, Nikki, lives in Normandy, TN. It's a small town about 35-40 minutes off I-24. She owns/runs a restaurant and lives in the apartment just above it. It is the neatest little place.
the food is ah-mazing!
Tracy, Nikki, and Janis (from left to right). Nikki is battling pancreatic cancer - she has had it for 30 months. She is amazing to watch b/c she doesn't stop. She continues to book catering jobs, host people, and run this restaurant. It is very bittersweet to go visit, b/c you never know if it's the last time you will see her alive. I swear, she has some connection with Harper. They met on this trip for the first time, but she had seen her in a video on Bossy's phone. As soon as Harper saw her in person, she yelled her name and wouldn't take her eyes off her. It was like she was meeting a celebrity. Every time Nikki walked in the room, Harper would yell out her name. Now, back at home, we often sing songs and pray for Nikki...all at Harper's request. It is the most amazing thing!
This is the terrace that Nikki's friend fixed up and they often use for receptions, etc. There is a guest apartment above as well.
