Last Day of the 2021-2022 School Year (4th & 2nd)

How? How has another year flown by? Here we are, finishing another school year. As the year went on, things slowly became more and more normal. We ended the year without masks and with in school activities again! 

Fun in the Sun

This year, parents were invited to attend the last 30 minutes of “Fun in the Sun” with the kids. I am so glad I have a flexible job so I can attend.

Mother Son Bowling - 2022

It's finally our time!  The boys have been waiting for the mother + son event and due to covid, it just hasn't happened...until now!  We bowled with Cullen and Henry - while his mom was home with Covid. I think these boys had blast! Can't wait for next year.

4th Grade Flight League Basketball

We had another great year of playing basketball with The Bruins & Coach Anne.  This is Harper's 3rd year playing basketball and they took home 3rd place for the league. They worked plays, held their positions, and learned a lot more about the game.  We love watching her grow, increase her confidence, and have fun with her friends. It was a great season for the Bruin Ballers.

Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day we kept with our tradition and the boys took me out while Josh took Harper to dinner.  This was the first year the boys were really able to plan dinner.  They didn't tell me where we were going until after school.  Since Gatlin loves steak and Houston loves chicken, they looked up Steak restaurants with Chicken fingers. So, they landed on Outback Steakhouse.  They got my car door, they opened the restaurant doors, and they made sure my dinner was good. They used good eye-contact and manners to order their own dinner.  They are certainly turning into the sweetest little gentlemen. 

Harper was invited to try Volleyball with her friend Brooklyn.  After practice, Josh picked her up and took her to dinner at their Valentine's spot, Burger Fi.  Oddly, they were closed...so they made their way to Burger Republic.  Those two love their burgers!   

Overall, we had a wonderful Valentine's day with our children. 

2022 Father-Daughter Dance

Tonight was the 2022 Father-Daughter Dance. 

Josh was traveling, so last weekend, he took Harper out in her dress. 

Harper's bestie, Allie, shared her dad with Harper. We appreciate Mr. Stu so much for letting Harper tag along. 

They had a blast!  They danced the night away...mostly to "We don't talk about Bruno".

Fun was had by all. 4th grade if flying by.

100th Day of School

It's so nice to be able to say It's The 100th Day of 4th Grade!

With a crazy two years, I am so glad I can say that the kids have been in person and mask-free for almost 100 days.  Oddly, 4th grade dressed up but 2nd did not. So, I present to you, Granny Harper. 

500,000 Meters

I did it! I joined Row House Cool Springs in June 2020...in the middle of a pandemic.  After having Covid-19 twice and struggling with stamina, I have finally hit my 500,000 meters rowed. I had the support of my friend Sydney & Dad by my side. Next up, 750,000 meters!

New Years Eve - COVID 2.0

Happy Covid New Years! For the second year in a row, we rang in the new year, Covid style. We sat around, watched the NYE specials, and toasted the new year.  And maybe wished for a Covid-free new years next year. Happy New Year everyone!
