Easter 2016

This year we had a wonderful Easter.  We were able to talk more with Harper about the true meaning of Easter, and taught the boys how to hunt for eggs!  They had a few practice runs before the Easter bunny came! The kids even got spend some time at Grandmother's house and hunt there!

This year, the Easter bunny came to our house a day early!  It was a great decision b/c the weather was beautiful and we didn't have to rush before church!

The next morning, the Easter bunny came back to fill their baskets!

Overall, we had a wonderful Easter!

Houston and Gatlin Turn 2!

TWO! I cannot believe it.  The fastest years of my life! Gatlin and Houston have changed our lives and we couldn't imagine life without them.  We celebrated with a small party at our house.  On their actual birthday, Eli and I took them to Jumpstreet and to see Harper at school.  My sweet boys are slowly turning from baby to boy.  They are starting to communicate more and are slowly starting to fill out.  Happy Birthday sweet boys!  WE ALL LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Hearing Test For Gatlin

When Gatlin was 15 months old, we couldn't get a good reading on his right ear.  So around 18 months, we tested his ear again.  This time, he was still enough for us to get a "referral" reading.  This meant a trip to Audiologist.  This was a challenge b/c he had fluid in his ears.  So, back to the doctor.  The fluid was not infected, so there was nothing we could do but wait.  So, two months later, we found ourselves back at Audiology.  This time, Gatlin did better.  He seemed to hear the initial tests well.  When the inner ear test was applied, his ear, again, seemed to have less movement b/c of fluid.  So, we will be heading to the ENT soon.  In the mean time, I wanted to post these cute pictures of my brave, big boy during testing.

Mommy/Daughter Date!

The other morning Harper asked if we could go to the donut store.

it was raining outside and I wasn't in the mood to work...so we both went in a little late and had a date just before! 

I took her to Krispy Kreme and we had a great time. She then showed up with donut holes for her classmates!

Harper Says

At lunch today with Harper
Harper: the sun came out mom! That's good. We have plants at school. And caterpillars.
Me: you do?
Harper: yes! And they go to a cocoon and when they wake up they have to go outside bc thy will be butterflies!
Me: Harper, you are so smart!
Harper: yah, smart is my middle name.
Me: (laughing) oh it is?
Harper: yes, Harper Meadows Elisabeth Smart!
