Texas Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we loaded up the whole family and flew to Texas for a Texas Thanksgiving.
My grandmother, Grandma Anna, passed almost a year ago.  We had a bit of a family reunion and a memorial for Grandma Anna.
Houston and Harper had been battling fevers all week...and while Harper was on the road to recovery, Houston was not.  I barely put him down for 4 days.  Besides that, we had a wonderful time and pretty successful flights!

We thought Gatlin had pooped & and noticed the guy in front of us covered his nose with a magazine for like 10 minutes.  We felt horrible and couldn't stop laughing...but then, I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually the kid a few rows up!

We stayed in a great condo that was furnished and our awesome cousins provided toys for us as well!  The only issue we had, was the condo stated they had a crib and it was not safe for any child over 3 months of age...so we attempted this lovely sleeping arrangement below.

It was actually pretty cute and sweet...until someone woke up at 2 am I had to join them in that lovely little sleeping arrangement.
Most of our events occurred during nap time, so you will see a few car naps along this post.

Our first full day in Texas, we traveled about 45 minute to Tula ranch.

Gatlin was having the time of his life

Bossy was so helpful with Gatlin and Harper while I was dealing with my sweet and sick Houston. He really was pretty pitiful.

Later that night, a crew loaded up in Ricahrd's truck for an adventure on the ranch.
They got to see Cows, Snakes, and more!

We had such a fun day!
The next day, we went to the cemetery for Grandma Anna's memorial. She was cremated and finally laid to rest to next to my grandfather.

After a very touching and sweet service, we all went to (my second cousin) Victoria's house for lunch.
We ordered these shirts for my parents Christmas cards...Miller and Houston were not having it. But that's life and one of the reasons I love this picture.

I love this "outtake" from the big kids photo.

Gatlin, again, had the time of his life. He loves to explore and play!

We had such a wonderful time with the cousins, family, and people we had not seen in years!
And true to form, my kiddos passed out after the lunch.
We took them to Rio Grande to see Mexico! :)
We let the boys sleep and Harper hopped out to spend time with her cousins -- just checking out Mexico.

At the end of two long days...we spent the last night hanging out in the condo.

Emma and Lily came over for pizza the last night we were there. It was nice to catch up with their parents and see the cousins all get along.

I dont know how she slept like this?
After a very long 3 days...we were all glad to be home.
Houston started feel better and we were able to relax and get back on schedule.

We hope that you had a wonderful, fun filled, loving Thanksgiving like we did!
