Last Day of School-Early Preschool Class - A

May 30th-2014

Though Harper will still go to school 5 days a week for summer play days, this was the last official day in the Early Preschool Class - A.
What an amazing first year she had in school.  She has grown in so many ways. I love that she comes home singing new songs, telling stories, praying about her friends and loving her teachers. 

School has been such a blessing for us!

Harper Says

When Houston was doing a little Tummy time, she was talking to him and being silly. She got a little close and be grabbed her hair.

This Past Month - Houston & Gatlin 2 Months Old

This past month has been full of first for us.  The boys are finally down to one layer of clothes (yay for increased body weight and temperatures), we have ventured out of the house as a family of 5, and are starting to get our "groove" with our new additions.

This is how all 3 kids do baths. Harper in the tub, then I take one at a time and put them in the bath. After the bath, both boys tend to pass out...on the floor no less. 

Gatlin

Now that the boys are bigger and stronger, Harper has been able to hold them more. SHE LOVES IT! She asks to hold them all the time (Harper/Houston up top and Harper/Gatlin below).  

We went to dinner for the first time as a family of 5. I spent almost as much time taking each kid to the bathroom as I did at the table.

We celebrated Callie's 5th birthday.  This was Gatlin and Houston's first birthday party.

One of the many nights Josh had to work late, I took the 3 kids to sweet cece's.  The boys were snoozing and Harper had a blast!

What a fun month!

2 Months Old -Houston and Gatlin

Houston and Gatlin are two months old! Wow, it's so crazy how fast it has gone by (except in the middle of the night). Here are the stats:

Gatlin: 8 pounds 10 ounces

20.6" long

37.5 CM - Head

Houston: 8 pounds 14 ounces (one ounce away from Harper's birth weight)

21.3" long

38 CM-Head

These boys are still in the 1-3rd percentile for their age, but thriving for their gestational age.  Gestationally, they are 3 weeks old and the doctor is very pleased.

HAPPY 2 MONTHS! 

I was a little nervous for their 2-month well check up b/c I was taking them alone. Josh had a work function...so it was just the 3 of us.  For Harper's 2-month well check up, I cried before they even gave her the vaccines.  I thought, I dont have the help today...KEEP IT TOGETHER (twice)!  

Thankfully, the boys looked great, they held off on eating for a few minutes, and took the vaccines like champs!  Because Gatlin is my calm baby, he got his shots first.  I calmed him down with a pacifier and put him in the carseat.  Houston was next.  He had the "wind knocked out of me" cry and I almost lost it. As soon as he was done, I put him in the car seat and I shoved bottles in both their mouths.  

I was prepared for feeding them the second the shots were over, hoping it would calm them down.  Thankfully, it worked! The boys did great...and I didn't cry!
