Our memorial weekend started off with a Date Night for Josh and me. We had sushi, wine, and attempted a movie...but it was sold out. Nana and the Gov had Harper on Friday night and all of Saturday. When we showed up on Saturday night, Harper was outside playing with Ramsey Leslie (Josh's cabbage patch doll) and baby.
Sunday, we headed over to the Pastinas for Luke's graduation "open house". I cannot believe that my little kindergartner is graduating high school. I started babysitting Luke and his older sister, Alex when he was 6.
Harper just chillin' at the party.
my Lukey, all grown up!
Later that day, we busted out her cowboy hat, bathing suit, and water table...it was a perfect afternoon for Harp! What a nut.
Monday, Harper woke up from her nap asking for books to read to lamby.
She doesn't often read in her bed...so I had to capture this sweet moment.
then, we headed outside for more water fun.
Josh and Harper braved the chili pool water for their first swim of the season.
After the pool, we got our patriotic gear on and celebrated Memorial day with more family.
"Aunt Tracy" (my cousin) and Harper coloring
We celebrated "Uncle Josh's" birthday as well.
I do believe Harper was a big fan of that chocolate cake!
The fam hanging after cake and enjoying the back porch. Josh was excited to finally see if his building skills would hold a large number of people...thankfully, the deck survived! :)
After dinner, Hoppy (larry) and Paw Paw filmed a little video for their facebook fans. Below are two clips of them singing. The first one they did on their own and I just filmed Harper ... wanted to see her face while they sang. The second one, they tried to include her. It was pretty cute.
Thank you to all our troops, loved ones, and family & friends of those who sacrifice their lives everyday for our freedoms. America the Beautiful.
